Read a budget row without reopening the call The original AU-ECOSOCC budget template separates unit, number of units, unit value and total. Use that structure to expose assumptions. The worked row below is fictional and does not establish an eligible cost or a new application opportunity. 1. Keep the guidelines dated 19 December 2023 beside the original budget template. The 31 January 2024 deadline and the April–August 2024 indicative implementation period retain their dates. 2. Write the quantity and unit before entering a total. A person-month is not the same as a month for the whole team. 3. Separate arithmetic from eligibility. Match the proposed cost to the original guidelines and retain an unresolved status until the relevant rule is checked. 4. Reconcile each subtotal and the grand total, including any currencies and tax treatment. Do not read the EUR 30,000 overall call budget as an automatic entitlement for an individual proposal. Fictional human-resources row: Two facilitators × 2 months = 4 person-months. At EUR 600 per person-month, the row total is EUR 2,400. Cross-check: 4 × 600 = 2,400; writing “2 months × 600” would omit one facilitator. Rule check: Purpose, necessity, period, supporting evidence and eligibility still need checking against the 2023 guidelines. Correct multiplication does not approve the expense. No current offer: The example does not reopen the 2024 call or set a 2026 grant budget. Use a current issuer’s complete rules for any new application.
