Are support opportunities active?
Yes. The authorised representative confirmed active support opportunities on 8 October 2026. Contact the programme team for the named current call, its conditions and submission route.
Can I apply through this website?
The project brief tool is for preparation, not submission. Request the current official application route from the programme team. Do not send sensitive documents until the recipient and required process are confirmed.
Can I use a 2021 or 2022 guideline for a new application?
Use it for background only. The support amount, eligible recipients, costs and deadline in a historical document belong to that call. Current terms must be checked separately.
Does a closed round mean the African Union has stopped working?
No. The African Union is an ongoing institution. Individual grant rounds and implementation periods have separate dates.
What languages are available?
The current core information and practical guides are available in English, French and Portuguese. Original documents retain the language in which they were issued. Historical articles identify the original language.
How should I begin?
Start with the public problem and the people affected. Write a project brief, identify the response your tool needs and plan a small test before commissioning software.
