The original purpose
The earlier call for Bénin supported civil society engagement with democratic governance. Its documented institutional focus was ECOWAS. The country page records an original deadline of 2022-02-07; the related PDF contains the detailed criteria and support arrangements.

Check the document sections on recipients, geographic focus, support, costs, selection and implementation. An amount or eligibility rule from another country call should not be transferred to this one. If a deadline differs between an original page and a later publication, consult the issuing programme rather than treating the earlier page as the current instruction.
What this history can help you prepare
Identify the community you want to involve, the public decision you want to influence and the institution that could respond. Document existing participation barriers. Explain how your technology changes that process and how people with limited connectivity can take part. The practical concept-note guide provides a structure for this work.

What is this call about?
This call seeks to support civil society in Bénin to promote the African Charter for Democracy, Elections and Governance and to strengthen engagement with ECOWAS. More specifically, it will enable the deployment of civic technology to enable their own and/or citizens’ engagement with AGA members and ECOWAS.
